DANNY VELASCO GILBERTSON

My name is Danny Velasco Gilbertson and I was born in July 1970. I grew up in Long Beach California and went to Roosevelt Elementary, Washington Jr High and then to Long Beach Poly High School. Jesus Christ came into my life at 13 and I continued to walk in the dessert for the next 20 years. With the mistake of my own doing, I have realized that my whole life Jesus was with me and the Holy Ghost continued to help me to grow with the love for My Jesus Christ in my heart. I learned without HIM I have nothing. 

The Bible says in Romans 12:2 -

 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." One of my favorite scriptures. 

I am married to Pastora Maura Gilbertson, who is true example of someone who put all her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her prayers in my life, have helped me to be the man of God I should be. I have been a member for the last 14 years of ELIM Church of Los Angeles under the teaching of Head Pastor Dr Jorge Fuentes and his sons that Co-Pastor Leo and Neto Fuentes. It is a Spanish speaking church and where I am blessed by not only learning the true love of Jesus for my life, but I have also been blessed to learn Spanish. In 2017 I became a Casual for the ILWU and in July 2022 I became a true Longshoreman an ID Regurgitation #137865, God’s blessing on my life. 

I have had many jobs titles in my life but I can say I am honored to be a leader for Iron Sharpens Iron Fellowship for the last 2 years. With Pastor Roman Brink and all my brothers and sisters in our leadership, I am blessed and can say the last 2 years I have seen the true love of Jesus shine in my life. I believe all my brothers and sisters truly do the best to give all the glory to are Father GOD in heaven and in our Fellowship we will speak the name of Jesus to all who will hear.
